So many websites can leave writers with numerous opportunities to grow their skills. Or heck, they just post to post fan art.
But let’s focus on the topic at hand.
So. You want to write a fan-fiction, eh? Let me help you, starting here:
What is fanfiction?
Fanfiction is a type of fiction writing where a fan writes based on a book, video game, tv show or movies where they use the already uses the existing characters, setting and storylines to create a new story.
There are some fanfictions around the world that are even better than the work it’s self! No offense to the creators… but hey it’s not very serious to write one and you can write one for fun!
But again, let’s focus on the topic at hand once more.
What show/game/book are you planning to write?
It can be anything as you please. Allow me to to give an example of mine.
On my first fanfiction, I’ve watched My Hero Academia multiple times and after I finished MHA, I started watching demon Slayer. I love both of these animes and I had this feeling that I wanted to write them.
Funny thing is, I’ve only found out about wattpad in 2022 (which I don’t remember exactly how) but I think it just by curiousity. I’ve never read a fan-fiction before until I came in wattpad and boy was it something.
I’ve read mostly the x readers since. Yeah, I’ve simped some characters in the beginning of highschool. And there were some fanfics that contained an x reader.
I thought it was nice, and some stories where the authors made the characters.. well in character.
Out of curiosity, I noticed the write button, clicked on it and you can make the story, just like that. I thought about it. Then, ‘okay! i’ll write one!’
What I mean is, the first thing I came out of my mind was doing a cross over. I didn’t think I would be really good writing a reader x character. So I decided I’d do a crossover, see if I could write a short story.
